Rights-Based Community Empowerment

SWADHIKAR

A rights-based community empowerment initiative implemented with the support of the Azim Premji Foundation. Currently active in 10 villages of Birsa Block, Balaghat district — focused on enabling communities to claim their rights, strengthen local governance and participate in development processes.

The initiative covers Forest Rights Act (FRA) awareness and claim facilitation, Gram Sabha strengthening, formation of Matritva Sahayogini Committees for maternal and child health, and basic documentation support for families.

Saathi – Aapke Man Ka Saathi

A mental health, dialogue and life-skills initiative for adolescents and youth, especially girls studying in tribal hostels. It emphasizes trust, friendship, listening and creating safe spaces for open conversation.

Sessions focus on self-confidence, managing adolescent challenges, healthy relationships, stress management and practical life skills — building emotional resilience in young people.

Community Health Initiative

Aarogya Saathi

A community health initiative focused on health awareness, healthcare access and preventive health practices among rural and tribal communities of Madhya Pradesh.

Includes health and medical camps, maternal and child health programs, nutrition support, Sickle Cell disease awareness and facilitating access to government health schemes and services.
